Did you know that access to art and culture is essential for revitalizing our cities? PECO’s Powering the Arts Program is solely created to enhance these opportunities in Southeastern, Pennsylvania!

The Powering the Arts Program offers one-year grants of up to $10,000 to support new or ongoing efforts by eligible nonprofit organizations that are currently providing arts and culture programs that directly benefit the neighborhoods in which they operate.

In 2023, PECO awarded 34 grants totaling $264,000 in support to arts institutions and cultural organizations in Southeastern, Pennsylvania through the competitive grants program.

“Equitable access to art and culture has the power to transform our communities,” said Romona Riscoe Benson, Director of Corporate and Community Impact at PECO. “By supporting initiatives that increase engagement, we can foster a more inclusive and vibrant society. We believe that investing in community-based arts and culture organizations helps connect people to opportunities and to one another.”

Applications will be accepted from June 7, 2024, to July 15, 2024. Detailed information regarding eligibility, award structure, and the application process will be available at peco.com/poweringthearts under the Charitable Contributions section, once applications open.
